          Conference Fee: $75 includes all speaker sessions and book signing events Friday
afternoon / evening and all day Saturday. Conference fee includes Lunch on Saturday at Pinky's
Cafe'; a reception/light buffet at the Gallery on Friday evening before the Open Mic event; a
continental breakfast at the gallery Saturday morning, and an informal campfire buffet Saturday
evening.

          Pre-Conference Workshop: $40. Anne B. Jones, PhD will offer a special pre-conference
workshop at Generations Gallery. Fee includes book, lunch from Pinky's Cafe', and one-on-one
critique. Space is limited - you are encouraged to register before April 10.

          Family Activities, Shopping and Tours: Bring the family. There is plenty for them to do while
you attend the Conference.  Boating, hiking, picnic facilities and more. Come early to tour the The
Historic Village at Indian Springs and The Whimsical Botanical Gardens  www.

Presented by non-fiction and thriller writer Anne B. Jones, PhD (Blackwater Rising, Gold Thunder, All
Around the Track, Brave at Heart, Tools for Becoming a Successful Writer). Topics include “Hooking
Your Reader,” “The Sensuous Setting,” “Developing Dialogue,” and “Creating Characters.” Includes
one-on-one critiques. (Time will be scheduled during the conference. Must send manuscript two
weeks ahead, limit 3 pages.) Fee: $40.00 covers accompanying book, Tools for Successful Writing,
lunch at Pinky’s, and one-on-one critique. (Note: This fee is in addition to the conference fee.)

3:30-4:10 “Historical Fiction and Research” is an informal seminar/discussion presented by Estelle
Ford-Williams (Abbeville Farewell: A Novel of Early Atlanta & North Georgia). Prepare to work on
exercises that will help writers of all genres with insight into the basics of historical research.  Bring
paper and pen. Location: Generations Gallery.



4:10-4:20 Book Signing/Break



4:30-5:20 “The Self-Publishing World” A look into the world of alternative publishing presented by
Indigo Publishing Panel. Location: Generations Gallery.



5:20-5:30 Book Signing/Break with Indigo authors, Rick Nolte and Rick Hutto



5:30-6:30 Mix and Mingle Reception hosted by Generations Gallery.



6:30-9:30 “Open Mic” presented by Gary Pulliam and Joni Woolf of Indigo Publishing. Read your
work to a small, sympathetic audience of published and aspiring writers in a cozy setting. Receive
support, encouragement, and applause. (Informal and open to the public. Signup Sheet available at
Conference Registration - 3 minute limit, two presentations per author.) Location: Generations

11:00-11:50 “Shimmer” “Shimmer” refers to the transparent layers that create subtle dimension in
written work. Written words have to stand alone without the benefit of gesture, facial expression, or
tone of voice. Learn to use amazing editing to do all that for you. Hands on. Bring pen and paper.
Presented by Bev Browning. Bev has over twenty years of experience in professional ghostwriting
and editing. She and her authors have more than 100 books in print. She is currently scripting a
documentary and has a memoir coming out in summer. Her publishers include Random House,
Rodale, Crown, Tall Oaks Press, Bridge-Logos Publishers, and Zondervan. Location: Pinky’s Parlor
